If you're wearing a white button-down professional shirt, I'm assuming you're also wearing trouser pants, yes?
I think you're asking about the new belt trend of wearing larger belts around your natural waist. Depends on what you are wearing on the bottom. If top and bottom ate both very plain, use A Fancy belt, you know A little wide with A pretty buckle. Nothing gaudy, just enough to let people know that all your taste isn't in your mouth. You know the old saying. What separates us from the animals, our ability to accessorize.
