I have ruined several.
In addition to ripping the fabric, I have had several of the neckline seams come apart in the washer because when I pulled the tag off, the threads broke.

For your favorite shirt that tore, get some fray-check, or Elmore's glue and lightly touch up the rip to prevent any fraying.
Then after it dries, carefully hand stitch the rip together. Because it is on the back of the neck, it won't be too noticeable.

I try to be cautious and only use scissors or a seam ripper and carefully remove the stitching on the tag - but my husband just rips the tags off even though he has put holes in dozens of our shirts (including mine)! Ugh! So frustrating! And stitching it back up just isn't the same. =(

Baby I understand that you're a little upset right now but before you get on Yahoo! Answers and submit that question make sure u do a spell check and proofread that mess before you try to ask someone a question because right now I can't tell you what you're trying to ask. I can recommend one thing, SCISSORS!

Actually I have done that a few times to lot of my clothes. The tags are so itchy and if you are like me you can't find the scissors anywhere. Sometimes they put the tags on the side. Those bug me to.

Not too many - I usually go for the scissors instead of just ripping. I've had friends at work to the honors for me too! =)

Been there done that.
I literally just cut them out now.
I am so glad folks are going to stickon ones, yet I want them on the waistline, not the neck line.

Cut the tag.A few nips with A needle and thread will fix it right up.

Hopefully it has a collar, and you can stitch it up. Scissors work well in this instance.
