I'm having normal period cramps. It's the first day. But it's dark brown... little bit of red I suppose. It's a light to medium flow.

The color of the blood is what's bothering me.... the dark brown.

This is normal, right?

I have experienced this before. It is normal. Its kind of like the "old stuff" leaving your body. I wouldnt worry about it. Your next period should be normal. If not and you are still concerned, contact your doctor. Hope that helps?!

I don't believe you have anything to worry about. It is normal to shed some "off color" blood sometimes. However, if you bleed for more than is normal or the cramps become unbearable you could be having a miscarriage(among some possible other things) and should see your GYN.

That's fine. All it means being brown is that it is the "older" material being shed. Sometimes if you didn't shed everything your last period, or if it has been awhile since your last period, then you will start shedding brown and then it will go to red.

completely normal, it is older blood collected longer in the uterus from the previous period. some can come from the cervical canal as well. as you get older, will will notice this less. don't stress out.
