Does anyone know how to get built-up grease and cooking spray off of a griddle? I don't know if there's a special cleaner that will work? Thanks!

The best degreaser for pans that I have found is the Dawn Direct Foam. Rub the surface of the griddle with the soap, let set for about 30 minutes, then rinse off with hot water. Works great on greasy plastic too

If the baking soda method doesn't work, oven cleaner does a great job. Get a spray can of the stuff, use rubber gloves, spray it evenly over the surface, and let it sit on the griddle for the time recommended on the container. Then wipe it off and clean the surface thoroughly with dishwashing detergent and water.

put you griddle in warm water and leave to soak and a big spoonful of baking powder say for 1 hr . The baking powder will loosen the grease then wash with your normal washing up liquid

This is going to sound retarded but seriously, WD-40. You will not believe me till you try it but it works good for taking off grease even off the stove.
