You probably saw an ad for Bare Minerals makeup. It does look great - but that brand has Oxy Bismuth. It is an ingredient that helps it feel silky, but can be very irritating to the skin. Plus, it is really expensive.

If you are new to using mineral makeup and want to try it without the risk of losing a lot of money, go to www.everydayminerals.com. They offer a free sample kit of 3 foundations, 1 blush or bronzer, and 1 concealer. You just pay shipping for it - it cost me about $3.30. The site says that the samples are good for about 3 applications, but mine lasted well over 2 weeks.

It is a different way of wearing makeup - so it takes a few applications to get the technique down. But once you figure it out, you will love it. It really doesn't look like you are wearing foundation and it feels completely weightless. I wound up throwing out all of my old makeup and switched to using only Everyday Minerals because I loved it so much. My skin has cleared up a lot since I started using it. I'm assuming it is because it can breathe better and it doesn't have any extra chemicals in it. It also works as a sunscreen. =)

My favorite product that they have is Silk Dust! It feels so soft and luxurious. You can apply it under your makeup or over your makeup for that "airbrushed" look. It is 100% silk dust. It is supposed to have anti-bacterial properties and helps control oil. I brush it on over my makeup in the morning and I look just as good when I come home from work. I can't say enough about this makeup! I lOVE IT!!
