Is money more evil or is man's sinful nature more evil?

Money is an object. Most would agree that objects are neither intrinsically good or evil. Some would even argue that any use you percieve to be associated with an object is entirely in your mind. Money can easily be toilet paper, kindling for fires, and works of art... so unless all these things are intrinsically evil too, we have a problem.

Nature is also something that most people would argue cannot be intrinsically good or evil. Nature just is. Can gravity be evil? Can weather be evil? If these things can't, how could anyone's built-in tendancies be evil?

Both of these things are accused of evil sometimes because of what they represent instead of what they are. Money represents greed and the horrible things some people will do to satiate that greed. But it is not the money that is the real problem. Human nature to some people consists of small-minded, aggresive, and otherwise odious inclinations. But it's not inclinations that are the problem, it's when they are acted upon.

To put a sharper point on this, imagine if I built a machine that could automatically torture and kill kittens. But instead of using it for that purpose, I use it as a counterweight in a helicopter so I can more easily rescue injured people and take them to hospitals. Is the machine evil?

Like money or human nature, it can facilitate evil... but it is not the evil itself.

Money is not an entity and has no conscience so it cannot, by right be considered evil.

Money is a system and tool of convenience which prevents you from having to trade bundles of corn for the lumber to build your home.

Universal Man is not inherently evil either.

Some men do evil things which are driven by the desire for money, and other men do evil things for which money is not a motivating factor at all.

I believe there were very few truly evil people ever.

neither, you see, money makes the world better than it would be without a medium through which to control the transfer of goods and services, there would be chaos and you would have to trade everything. Man is not evil unless you compare us to something else? When you compare man to a spiritual being with absolutely no awareness of evil then I guess we are evil? but everyone tries to at least do the best they can with their circumstances and abilities. The problem then, is in the interpretation of evil, in the end you just have to ask yourself what isnt evil? I mean, what does evil truly imply? I mean how can we even begin to imagine a world without evil, if we dont know what it would imply? I guess I would say that there is no such thing as evil people, just nonconformitive socio deviants who dont exactly follow your perception of right and wrong.

Evil does not exist. It is merely the opposite of good. Man's sinful nature has less good in it than money.

Money isn't evil. It's an inanimate object meant to represent a value in exchange for goods & services. It is man's greed for money that can be evil. They say that money is the root of all evil but that is misleading! Cruelty is evil. Hurting other people (whether motivated by money or whatever) is evil. Money itself can't hurt you. Unless it gives you a paper cut!

Since Man created the money I'd have to say Humans, because not just men are responsible. You know what I think Women are pretty evil, because man had to invent the money concept for a reason. In order to satisfy his woman's need to shop.

Money is a thing and man has a choice. But even then it is not man that is evil just the choices he makes

money is not evil, it can be used to inflict evil on another person.
or it can be used to make another persons life better. Evil is really
perceived by ones ethical and moral nature, some justify evil intentions as righteous.

Man, since he tends to become sinful when money is involed. Although, Darth Vader is pretty darn evil....even when money is not a concern...
