It depends on what you're in the mood for. I love Orlando Florida for Theme parks! Walt Disney World, Islands of Adventure, and Universal are awesome there. You also have a Ripley's believe it or not in Orlando. Florida is a great place to get away from the cold weather too, it's always sunny!
If you want a peaceful and relaxing place, Georgia is beautiful.
If you want a historic Virginia has some nice places to visit there.

If it is cold and wet you are looking for, try Seattle. Even the ducks are getting wet. It is snowing here right now. Tacoma area. We have great skiing where you can get even colder and wetter.
