I have a lot of data on 'Why' Diwali is celebrated..but nothing as in facts n figures. Does someone know about website(s) that has these statistics or any other factual data about Diwali. Quotes from famous personalities is the icing on the cake..Thanks..

diwali is celebrated as a festival concideribn dis is day when lord ram came to ayodhya back after killin d davil ravana n bein one of d most worshiped god of hindu community it celebrated .all hindu families around d world celebrate dis day . first it was celebrated by d ppl of ayodya itself coz their loved prince was comin back after a long period of 14 yrs .n if u want to see real culture of india u muct see d celebration of any hindu family its so big event dat d ppl frm diffrent community in india also celebrate dis day with equal realm.

It is one of the main festival celebrated by large number of people all over the world. Don't need any statistics to prove that. Just come out and see the illumination on the street. That is why it is called Festival of Lights. Even in Gulf countries you can see the spirit. I DON'T CELEBRATE DIWALI, I DO AGREE WITH POPULARITY OF THIS FESTIVAL
