I think that by all means you should.
What that says to ME is that Christ has put this person on your heart for some reason and you might miss something important if you don't talk to them.
It doesn't have to be a romatic thing at all. Maybe they need a friend.
You should call.

Are you sure you're not feeling a little nostaglic for what this person represents to you, or about your past? Despite the fact that you claim that its more just out of concern, I think it may actually be deeper than that. Perhaps this person and you had a great relationship and back then, life was different and happier. Perhaps on some sub-conscious level, you want to see if they would still have feelings for you.

I would ask that you consider what this person's life might be like now if you haven't spoken to them or heard anything about them for quite some time. Consider that maybe this person has a new life with a new relationship, possibly marriage and kids. Consider that your attempting to make contact with this person may disrupt their life and cause problems. Perhaps it would be better if you left the past just where it belongs...in the past.

Of course not. What's wrong with seeing how the person is doing? Just be careful that if the person is single that you don't send mixed signals. She/he might think you are interested in trying the relationship again. Be very open and honest.

Why do you think this person is on your mind? Is he/she the one that got away? I think you still are in love with this person and now that you are in a different situation, you realize that this person was a wonderful part of your life. If the person is still single, see what your options might be.

I'm wondering why you would have to ask this question unless you are married and the person you can't get off your mind is of the opposit sex. If this is the case, the right thing to do is let your spouse know. Otherwise, you are playing with fire and if discovered, your spouse will feel betrayed.

Not at all. I think it is perfectly fine to contact this person that is, unless you two got in a bad fight or a horrible break-up. But, if you just want to check up on that person, I feel like that is a very nice thing you could do. I would be happy to hear from you, personally. :)
