They have a mismatch between composing a question, and displaying it.
The key on your keyboard has the ASCII code for a plain Jane "straight" apostrophe. When you compose the question, they translate the code into that of a "curly" apostrophe.
They blew it on the reverse translation back to a plain code when displayed.

I have noticed it, too. Whenever I use my iPod touch to type something on Y!A that contains quotation marks or apostrophes, it shows up on my computer as gibberish ("e; for example). I really do not know why apostrophes and quotation marks do not show up correctly, but I agree...it is very annoying.

Its mildly annoying. I tried putting in a hyphen instead but it doesn't look right.
