I'm really nieve about these. I know they're the modern version of a cd player, and you download songs onto them. That's pretty much it. What else should I know, and how do you download songs? Does anyone know how many songs can be held with a certain amount of space?

The 80GB iPods can hold "up to 20,000 songs, up to 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video," or any combination that you want to use (I actually don't use my iPod for photos). You will need iTunes to connect your iPod to your PC; this will be your music-to-iPod interface. Rip your CDs, download music from the net (iTunes Music Store is a great place to start), or have someone save music to a flash drive and transfer it into your music library, and then plug the player in!! There really isn't much more you need to know except keep the battery charged, try not to drop it to many times, and if you buy it from a retailer -- get the warranty (if it breaks, they give you a new one).
