I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if its my imagination or does the baby kick more when my bladder is full? he's a pretty mellow baby ... but whenever I drink anything (especially de-caf coffee .. or anything hot) and my bladder gets full .. I feel like twitches in there .. is that him? anyone else experience this?

I'm a first time mommy :)

thanks!

I'm having this too ... at 21 weeks! I thought it was my imagination as well, but it's nice to know that others are experiencing the same thing. She also seems to kick after a glass of OJ or something sweet. What a funny feeling, but I love it :)

Baby is probably kicking normally but you just feel it more when your bladder is full (obviously because your bladder is taking up more space...). And de-caf still contains caffeine (just less of it than regular), so baby is possibly more active after a cup or 2.

It could be. the baby might be getting squished everytime your bladder inflates...lol. Or the baby is always kicking but you only sense it when your bladder is full becasue there's no extra space for them to kick.

Yeah I would have to agree with you I am 24 weeks pregnant with my first and he kicks like hell when my bladder is full, I think he has made a game of it.

Congrats!

Yes! Mine is fond of kicking me in the bladder...I think it's his way of telling me I'm intruding on his space! As soon as I urinate, he kicks more, as if to say Thanks Mom!

yeah mine used to do that before she turned over

I used to wake up in the middle of the night cuz of her kicking - I think it was her way of preventing me from not wetting the bed :)))

All the best
