Yes they can, New Zealand on there day can beat any team. They have some of the most powerful hitters in the game Oram, McMillian and McCullum which if they get going on the small WI pitches are going to be lethal. Add to that Bond and Vettori who are both match winners with the ball and the recent smashing of Australia and you have a really confident team that believes they can do anything. What may let New Zealand down is their 4 and 5th bowlers and there death bowling, just missing one more world class bowler.

in my view, new zealand, south africa or india will surely win this world cup.. of these three teams new zealand has a better chance if they carry on their good work.. they are in a good form and most importantly they make up for their mistakes in a match by playing in other departments well.. they gel together as a team well..they have the team spirit and they work as a team and not as individuals.. new zealand is the dark horse and the team to look out for..
