I see where u are going with nash helping out the suns like no other player can help out a team, but that dont mean he is the MVP. Garnett is having a great year , and so is kobe and lebron. but look at mcgrady. without yao on his side, the rockets are in 5th place. nash can get 11 assists and be in second place with the suns, but u are overlooking the fact that he has 2 other veteran all-stars by his side the hole time. t-mac is playing without yao and still having 6 assists and 6 rebounds and he is just a great joy to watch.

Nash is great. Dirk is nice. Kobe is amazing. As of today the Mavericks have a better record than the Suns. However, Kobe's Lakers are right there. Nash is certainly his teams' MVP whether he is the NBA's MVP is another thing. My vote right now goes to Kobe. Why? Well whenever the Lakers' games I can see Kobe passing the ball way more in times past and you can tell he is actually trying to be a total team player. Does he still takeover at times? Yes, but you need him to do that anyway. My second vote would go to Nash. Hey the dude is the reason why his team is doing so well. He leads the league in assists @ 11.9 per game. Kobe is 3rd in scoring at 29 points per game.

It has to be Dirk this year, he is just as valuable to his team as Nash and Kobe, and since Dallas is having the best year you have to give it to him. I really don't think they will give Nash three in a row that is Jordan category, and Nash is a great player, but he is no Jordan, and for that matter he is no Dirk. His passing skills are good, but he doesn't play any defense and he doesn't score like he did the last couple of years. Although Kobe is having an excellent season and might be the best player in the NBA, his team is not as good as the Mavs or Suns.

Yeah well this may be true, but look at what Kobe is doing. Where is his Stoudemire and Marion (Odom isn't even close to either of those guys). And Dirk is having a phenomenal season. Ulitmately, all 3 of them are deserving, but Nash will not win it because voters do not want him getting 3 in a row (that would make him a Top 5 all time-great, too much)

i agree that suns will have a hard time in winning if nash is out. that's one of the reason why some people tell that he'll get another mvp. but think about this, an mvp knows his importance to his team and he wont let anything hinder him from playing many games, he knows his role and responsibilities in a team and he wont let his team lose because of the injuries that he has. nash, had already miss several games because of injuries, and he doesnt seem to realize that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are so true but there is a player that is also the same way... kobe bryant... but nash is so great for that team... i think he'll win it again... and shaq can talk all the trash he wants because he's old and a non factor in a lot of his teams games... other words, he doesn't dominate like he used to... something nash does the second he steps out on to the floor...

MVP means most valuable player, and if you look at the Suns record without Nash you will see why he is the MVP. There is no arguement, whether he gets it or not is the question.

you have a case. but at the end of the day, who gets voted as mvp is up to a nationwide polls of sportswriters.
nash has stiff competitions in nowitzki. if dallas finishes on top of phoenix, you can bet that dirk will get the nod of sports journos. most of the regular season mvps came from the team with the best record in the league.

Nash is not going to be an MVP this year because people will not vote for him since he won it the past two years. Proof: Do you think Barkley and Malone is better than Jordan when they won MVP?
Nowitzki will be MVP this year.

When they can't win without a player yeah the player is good. But you can't have a good team depending on a player. And you can't be a good leader either. I think Nash is good. It's been good ever since I saw him first in Dallas (yes I know that's not where he was first but it's where I first saw him) but it's not the leader he used to be.
