Don't get down on yourself. I think it's great that you have lost some weight. You should be proud of yourself. More importantly I think you sound like a nice person. I think you should practice saying "i'm Beautiful" everyday because its true. Maybe sometime you can just force the issue on your parents. If you think therapy would help, definitely try that route. Remember that your whole life is ahead of you and your future is very bright

I think if you are on the road to losing weight that is a good step. Everybody, regardless of weight has felt what you are feeling as a teenager. I have known very beautiful teenage girls who suffered from low self esteem when they had a lot going for them. List on paper all the good attributes and qualities you have and I bet you will see what a great person you are. Continue to diet until you are happy with your weight. Participate in things you are good at. This will raise self esteem. If your parents will not talk then find another relative, friend or teacher or counselor at school who will or you can always email me. Good luck and all the best.

If you can, keep trying to lose the weight. You will feel so much better about yourself. You will look better and feel better. Think about the new clothes you will have to buy because the ones you wear now are too big. Fix your hair nice. Buy some new makeup. Surf the internet for diet and self esteem ideas. Best wishes and stay positive. You can DO IT! :)
