i had a period or what seemed like a period for 8 weeks, i was given tablets to stop the bleeding, but need to wee more often than usual, my tummy also feels slightly bloated as well
i had an ovary scan today, and it didnt show anything was wrong apart from polysistic ovary syndrome (pcos) but i knew i had that anyway. ive also been given a pregnancy test by my dr which was neg.
so what could it be?

It could be due to the pcos as sometimes I have had periods lasting for three weeks . Iv'e never had one last that long though the tablets you were given could be the reason for the other symptons you are having.
The pain in the ovaries could be caused by the cysts on the ovaries.
It's all due the hormonal imbalance of the pcos it can cause lots of different things.
spotting in between periods - prolonged periods - light periods - heavy periods - acne - bloating - painful periods.
I would keep seeing the dr if you are worried and it happens again but the next one is likely to be lighter and not as long.
Iv'e noticed that since I've lost weight mine are not as painful or as heavy and a little bit more regular

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/iKiVT
For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/Wjm0q

sure. this is not any longer widely used to bleed for 8 weeks. it could no longer all be your era. you may desire to get it appeared at. Why do no longer your mom seem for a woman Gynecologist fairly a family contributors well being practitioner? they frequently be responsive to all approximately what is going on with the insides of abdomen. attempt one, and once you're a virgin, clarify that to her.

It could be stress, or significant weight loss. Are you on a diet??? Maybe your hormone level is off. You are doing the right thing by seeing your doctor. Good Luck!

Has your MD done a sonogram for fibroids? (Benign tumors in the uterus.) Ask your mom if she ever had these. Refer to a good website like webMD to learn about treatment modalities.

I suffered the same, but it wasn't 8 weeks, I had a reaction to the pill I was on... I had to change to the mini pill..
Talk to your doctor, though.
