Chicago bans foie gras, New York bans trans fats, and now Prince Charles wants McDonalds banned.

Here's an idea: let me eat what I want to eat. Not everyone wishes to become a bean sprout eater.

Fasc Fitter: You're not paying one red cent towards my health care. I have private insurance. If my insurance carrier doesn't care what I eat, why should you?

Dizz: What if I own a restaurant in New York City and wish to sell burgers simply dripping with grease and trans fats? If people don't want my burgers, they won't buy them, and I will change my menu. If they DO want my burgers, what should the City of New York have to say about it?

Unfortunetly, there's always going to be groups of people who aren't happy unless everyone is doing things "their way." They use study after study and skewed data to try and support their ideas. I say live and let live!

Here's an interesting point. They are against you eating junk food but they have you working obscene hours, underpaid and underappreciated, in a society that stress everyone out and causes them to have health issues. They pour chemicals into your food and who knows what the hell that's all doing to the lot of us. They poison the environment and who knows what else they're doing and they are telling repsonsible adults 'don't eat junk and don't smoke'? Maybe we all don't want to be twiggy.
Who says that being overweight is unhealthy anyways? Do they really think it is good to eat a whole bunch of vegetables and get no fat whatsoever?
They have no real provable diet and until they do it is like the blind leading the blind.
So let me have my cheetos and my little debbie and my lays.

In the United States there are certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I like smoking and eating meat, if that offends someone make me a place I can do these things in. If you are worried about the hospital bill, you should sue my insurance company and take me off life saving unnatural devices.

It's ironic that those that worry about my medical expenses allow their taxes to support illegal aliens.

This is so retarded, I'm glad that they 'care' but it is the people's choice on what they eat. If someone wants (like bill o-Reilly said) a a cookie they are going to get a cookie! If someone wants mc-Donald's they should be allowed to eat mc donnals.

I understand what they are trying to do, but the means is not justified the action.

I am a Conservative republican (very Conservative) I eat bean sprouts and drive a small sport car because I want to and really don't care what other people eat or drive as long as they pay for it them selves.

You can still eat what you want. You might have to have it shipped to you instead.

Your choice hasn't been infringed upon...

EDIT; Then sell your restaurant and serve your food of choice somewhere else. Local ordinances aren't new. It's the cost of doing business. If people really want to eat crappy food then they should flock to your restaurant just outside NY city limits.

Here is the better results from those two cities restrictions on freedom of choice... The item they will be forced to use is worse for your body.

Just another example of how to destroy capitalism and create socialism.

Because they are trying to save your life! LOL, what a joke. Maybe the real reason, is so there are enough people in perfect health, and in shape, to fight the next war, after the democrats start their draft!

Last night there was a woman representing some kind of radical food group on the O'Reilly Factor . Now get this. . . . . She is trying to stop the Girl Scouts from selling cookies because they're fattening !!! She represents the exact type of socialism that the Liberal Left represents. . . and the Moderate Democrats seem to be unaware of !!!!

I am so with you. If one more person tries to shove organic food down my throat I'm going on hunger strike. They call my food poison, I call it perfection. I don't want bugs crawling out of my salad, and I like soda in cans. Now leave me be!
