I'd like to know if nursing assistants, as opposed to nurses and registered nurses, get free healthcare or discounted healthcare. Exactly what benefits come with the job?

The only benefits one would get as a nurse aide would be whatever the benefit package is. No, you do not get free or discounted health care (wouldn't that be nice though).

cna are the lowest jobs in the medical field and get nothing and they do most of the work .Thats how it is where I work anyway. We have to pay very high for insurance and don't get sick pay.Where I work the starting pay for a cna is only $7.25 an hour.and I have to try to take care of 14 elderly people by myself.Everyone is so busy you don't have time to ask another cna for help.

if you know of somewhere where they offer free benefits(without being on public assistance) let me know....i have been a CNA for 6 years and worked for two different companies one where the hourly pay was low and the benefits where very costly to the employee , the other with a good hourly rate and no benefits...luckily my husbands workplace offers benefits so i have chosen to stay with the company who pays me more hourly. not many benefits come with being a CNA except knowing that you are able to make someones life a little easier with your help. if you are looking for a job with good benefits CNA work is not the best option unless you have a spouse who has good benefits. our health care industry is defiantly in need of some serious help.

Not in the US. Nothing is free. CNAs pay through the ying-yang, just like Joe Sixpack.
