a train that can get you to the airport? (Hope someone knows.)

Well, even though the airport and Cincy do not have a train service, there is a Airport shuttle that leaves the airport every 15 min. or so that takes you downtown for only $1.25. I've not tried it but have seen the shuttles (like the car rentals shuttle busses)
The ride can take about a half hour, depending on traffic.

And if price is not as much of a worry, you could always cab it -$24 bucks will get you to the city or to the airport.

And for not much more - there are Airport Executive Shuttles that run about $15 bucks one way or $25 round trip - I little nicer than a cab or bus, but don't forget the tip.

Hope that helps a bit.

The International airport is located approximately 16 miles southwest of downtown Cincinnati in the Northern Kentucky suburb of Hebron. Cincinnati has yet to have embraced any form of intra-city rail system, neither light-rail nor heavy rail such as a subway. Its only mass transit options are two bus systems, the Metro which serves the city and its Ohio suburbs, and T.A.N.K., which offers transportation services to Northern Kentucky residents, including routes to downtown Cincinnati.
Most area hotels, including those in downtown Cincinnati, offer shuttle service to and from the airport, and taxis are readily available. If you have plans to get out and about in the city it's probably advisable to rent a car at the airport.

Well I hope I know - I work at the airport (CVG). No matter how confusing - the airport is actually located in Hebron, KY. There is no train from anywhere to CVG, however a taxi cab will cost you about $25 and about 30 minutes except during rush hour. Rush hour add another 20 minutes and pray that there is no over turned tractor-trailer in the cut-in-the-hill which is 71/75 south. If you take a cab, your driver will know other ways of getting to the airport like taking Pike Street in Covington that turns into Dixie Highway. There's also Tank (public bus) and other charter buses that will take you there, but taking a cab is the most convienent way. Good luck and hope this helps.

The airport is really in Northern Kentucky. So it is not close to Cincinnati.. About 35 from Cincinnati. There are no trains or subways to get there. A taxi? If you are staying in a hotel/motel, some of them will send a courtesty van to pick you up.
