We just had an argument over these stupid pants, they are in the crotch area and I told him I will not be ok with him wearing those pants, if he wears them it shows me he is a slob and doesn't care about his appearance. He says nobody can see them (and by the way he is an owner of a large busy car repair shop and these are his work pants). I told him I know the holes are there and my opinion is the only one that matters in this case because if I have to be married to him I want to be attracted to him and I'm not attracted to slobs. What do you think?

OK, even though I think not letting a guy have his favorite pants, this is what I suggest.
You could just toss them, but when he finds out they are gone, he will be upset. Instead, what you could do is slowly make the holes bigger, eventually there will be nothing left of them. You can blame it on the washer and dryer. Now, this might backfire, because he might buy you a new washer and dryer, but then you might need new ones too.
Oh, to sell the idea that the washer and dryer are ruining his jeans, you may have to sacrifice one of your outfits, and put a hole in it, so he can't blame it on you, you have a defense that the washer and dryer did it to your clothes too.

Are you talking about jeans or dress pants? My husband has jeans like that, heck I have jeans like that. But we only wear them around the house, not in public. If they're not really obvious, and he thinks the pants are comfortable (a BIG thing for a man), let him wear them. If they are obvious, maybe they could be patched? I have done this to jeans, with iron-on patches, and it works pretty well. Not sure about dressier pants though. I don't think his wearing these pants means he's a 'slob', just that he likes the pants, and thinks it's not a big deal for his job. I have to agree.

Have you already repaired them for him? If they are his favorite pair you can repair them a couple of times before they can not be saved. If you have already done this then they will need to disapear with a bit of magic. For example, my husband is a big fan of socks with holes in them. Not that he does not have about 30 pairs, he wants to wear the ones that he has worn out. By some degree of magic (my catching them in the wash) they disapear to the land of dumpster. You should find your man attractive in anything he wears but there is no reason to walk around like a bum if you dont have to. Put some new pants in his closet a few weeks in advance then >poof< the old ones are gone and you have no idea where they went. I dont understand why men do this but you are not alone.

Widen the hole a little at a time or use a some bleach and they will burn up. Don't do it by dumping the bleach on them. Add lots of bleach to the water. Hot water and wash them alone. They will get weak and split on him at work. He will learn from that. Good jeans are also protection for those parts in a mechanics repair shop. Call his boss annonymously and say his you know whats are hanging out.

nicely putting a television in a youngster's room is a foul theory, finished stop. i'm a youngster, and that i don't see why you may want another than gazing DVD's, as ther'e's on down the stairs. If she has all the channels take it off, she would be in a position to video exhibit the television interior the front room. the two minimise the channels so she would be in a position to not desire to video exhibit as lots or eliminate all the channels so which you would be able to easily play DVD's on it. Or eliminate the completed component, and supply her a transportable DVD participant to compensate. :)

If he didn't have such a messy job I could agree with you. But I think you're going overboard here. If he wore the pants to church or out on dates with you or to family gatherings then I could see your point but he works in an auto repair shop and even though he's the owner I'm sure he's climbing around under cars and getting very dirty.

Let him have junky work clothes you don't see him at work. If he's wearing them elsewhere with you then get him some nice non-work clothes.

It's a compromise.

Next time you wash them, put them into the hottest water you can and add two cups of bleach. It may take a time or two, but one of several things will happen: either he'll develop a really great crotch rash or the pants will shrink or rip apart when he stresses them too much -- maybe while he's even at work! In either case, best solution to those problems will be to throw them out!!!

I agree that he shouldn't wear them anymore. I once heard that a man's appearance is a reflection of his wife (yikes). Anyway, use those pants to make patches to fix knees of other pants that are still good in the crotch.

Maybe they could get lost in the dryer like socks tend to do? Or, they could fall into the trash can? LOL Men are funny about that stuff. I think they like to see how long they can hold on to an old pair of pants or sneakers. I'd just pitch them and get him a new pair.

get some fusible web (its a material that binds fabrics together so you don't have to sew) and one of his old flannel shirts and iron the webbing with the flannel over the holes from the inside. that way, he gets to keep his pants without holes and you get to cut up one of his shirts : ) and he works in a garage not an office building so this remdy would suit him just fine. gotta learn to compromise so you can stay together.
