personally, for a cold, i use a no-drug approach. I try to flush the cold out of my system. drink a lot of water, get a bit of exercise (to sweat it out), and just get a full night's rest every night. a hot shower can really help alleviate a headache. a quiet resting place is also a must (consider earplugs)

Your body is telling you what it needs. Go to bed earlier unitl you are better. The headache is probably your sinuses, and regular ibuprofen often doesn't work well for this. Try Advil Cold and Sinus or some other type of decongestant. Decongestants also have the side effect of making you alert, so you'll feel better during the day. Try the nighttime type before bed, but stop taking it if it makes you manic and hyper instead of sleepy. It does this to some people, like me.

I started catching a pretty bad one last week on Tuesday, after seeing my dentist. I'd heard about various products that helped reduce the length/severity of cold symptoms and went to the drugstore and got some Airborne (fizzy tablets you put in water to drink) and some Zicam Max Cold remedy (there are various forms but I picked the nose gel). Both contain zinc. I also drank a lot of fluids and made sure I got some Vitamin C. On Wednesday morning I felt like I was going to die, I was so congested, but taking these products as directed REALLY did help. The cold was pretty much gone by Thursday night/early Friday. Good luck.

Go to health-notsickness.com. Print off the Self Diagnosis Profile and mark your symptoms. Date and then check again in 30 days. There are many reasons, but in general your body is out of balance. When you understand body language then you can make an intelligent decision. Our creator God made provision for good health. It was not with drugs. If you do not like the web page, try herbs. There are so many, and I am not qualified to comment on them. You can solve your problem with some education.

Try Zicam. Instead of just treating symptoms, it actually speeds up your recovery time from a cold. It's like a miracle. If you take it when you very first feel the cold coming on, sometimes it will stop it before it actually gets started.

Ooh, that's miserable!
Yes, sleep more. Your body knows what you need.
Drink hot lemon and honey: That will help you feel less miserable and give you extra vitamin C to help deal with the cold.
Also, try drinking extra water, Gatorade, and tea with ginger in it. That should help finish knocking the headache out.
Feel better!

Sounds like a sinus infection if the pain is where you describe and the meds didn't help. See your doc and get this checked out and treated.
