Where is it? It's a date. I don't understand the question. Do you mean where is it celebrated?

Did you mean "when" instead of "where"? Because Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for "the 5th of May". It's a holiday, not a place.

as far as i know cinqo de mayo is not a place but a road name that you find in practically every mexican hamlet, town or city. it commemorates the 5th of may 1862 when mexico won a battle against the french. i'm not sure what the french were doing in mexico, and it isn't surprising they lost the battle. When was the last time that the french ever won a battle anyway (napoleonic france, early 1800s perhaps?).

Best Regards.
