There is a problem in West Bengal with harvesting plankton from mangrove swamps to obtain eggs to supply tiger shrimp hatcheries. The harvest methods strip numerous planktonic species from nursery areas, which is depleting the reproduction of many pelagic species. Could this be the connection?

pelagic means open water or sea, i doubt it has anything to do with tigers. sorry.
