Mercury is the smallest now that Pluto is no longer a planet.
Saturn is known for its rings although others such as Uranus also have rings.
Mars is the red planet due to the great amount of Iron in its composition.
Uranus is said to spin on its side. We know because the orientation of the rings. The problem is that the planets are spheres and it is difficult to tell the orientation of the planet in three dimensional space, therefore we compare the planets to something we know---Earth
Jupiter has many red spots due to the large storms that take place in the atmosphere of the planet.
