Amazing isn't it. And, some folks still come to his defense.

Instead of finger pointing since we all use a lot of kilowatt power, you should watch An Inconvenient Truth. Then you would know that what Al Gore has been saying to the American people is true. It's more than just how much kilowatt power is used, which we all are guilty of. Get the true facts before fingerpointing. If you think Global warming is a joke, then you are avoiding the true facts. Watch his documentary. It will open your eyes to what is truly going on in our environment.

An Inconvenient Truth is more than just how much energy we are saving or not saving. You want to save energy, shut off your lights. If you want to help our environment and not sure what to do, watch Al Gore's documentary.

Furthermore, Al Gore did not create the internet. He helped come up with the concept of it but he was not the one who created it.

Well, that gives even more reason for him to want energy generated by means that do not increase global warming.
I live in Dallas and last August, I used 1858 kwh for an 1100 square foot house kept at 77F. I do not have an all electric house, so my electric usage falls to about 500 kwh in the winter (and my gas bill rises.)
If Gore has an all electric house in Tennesee he is probably using roughly the same amount each month, so 191,000 kwh would suggest one or two houses totallying about 10,600 sq.ft. (1.5 kwh per sq.ft. per month)
How much space is there in a "typical" Nashville household (with gas heat and cooking) and how much of the electric bill for Gore includes guest houses, office space, etc. You left a lot out.
And objecting to a "rich beyond belief" politician while also objecting to "poor" politicians who accept donations to run for office is really dumb. Postage is going up again and computers cost money to run.

Aviator, if what you say is true, then he is to be commended for putting his money where his mouth is, but this is only the energy cost for one out of three houses (mansions). Couldn't he at least cut down a little bit? Does he really need to line his driveway with gas lights? It's not like nobody can find his house in the dark.

Al Gore is a total moron. Thank god he did not win the presidency or else we would all be wearing head scarves and praying to Mohamed..... OOPS i said god.......... The feel good liberals are going to come after me now. The idiots in Hollywood buy into Gore's B.S. so what does that say about them. Anybody who is going to listen to somebody who stands in front of a camera and "acts" for a living is even more ignorant than they are. Have you ever heard Sean Penn attempt to speak the English language? I rest my case.

Kunta Kinte is right!
Al Gore, aka: 'Mr. Environmental' is an Energy Hog!
Gore must laugh all the way to the bank when he thinks about all the people that he has conned into thinking that he has all the answers.
He is so rich that he owns 3 mansions!
Yeh...he must be really environmentally friendly, HA!

Al Gore uses way too much energy but at least he is bringing the topic to public view. That is more than can be said for all the other celebs and polititions with big mansions.

Regardless of this statistic (and it is out of context - Gore uses "Green" energy), it is no excuse for ignoring the message that global warming is a serious threat to our existence and that the next 20 years are crucial for saving our planet for our grandchildren. Even if Gore was a complete hypocrite (and he is not), he didn't make global warming up, he's just telling us the scientific facts.

All of the power he uses comes from renewable energy sources. Therefore his 191kW has less of a detrimental effect that what ever amount you use.

Th true hypocrites are the people like you who sacrifice the prosperity of our future generations so you can live in luxury.
