Suddenly my computer is running very slowly. It takes forever for a site to come up when I click on it. Are there any simple things I can try to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

There is alot you can do.

1. get on the net and go to your tools menu and click on Internet options. you will click on delete cookies and then when that is done you will need to delete files. if a box pops up and says delete offline content, click the box and do it. then clear your history.

2. Next go to my computer and rick click on your c drive. a box will pop up. On the general tab, click on disk clean up and it will run for a few. them click ok.

3. in that same box click on the tools. Click on De fragment now. There will be 2 buttons, click on defragment now. How much red do you have???? Alot i bet. That is why your computer is running slow.
The easy way to explain it is when you load a new program or CD or anything on the computer it is usually put in the first convenient place it finds. when you defrag it, it is put where it belongs.
Also every time you visit a page in the Internet for some reason, the cookies are kept on you PC. You should do this at least every 2 weeks. I did it for a friend of mine this weekend, and they were amazed at how fast the computer started running

good luck

A computer that slows down is a BIG RED FLAG for infection of Malware, which includes viruses. Another possible reason is that you are running more processes than your computer is capable of with current resouces. There are 2 ways to fix your problems, a temporary one and a permanent one.
1. Temporary. Go to www.majorgeeks.com and download and run these programs: AVG and AdAware. This free software will help you find and get rid of some of the 114,000 viruses that infect Windows.
2. Permanent. Go to www.kubuntu.org or another similar open source software source, such as Linux Suse. Then download or order the CD rom, and remove all traces of Windows by reformatting (back up your files before deleting them) and install Kubuntu. This is the preferred solution.
