Not sure where you are going with this one. What is your point?
Thanks for the update. The interest rate cuts are across the board for those earning a handsome income and those earning min. wage alike. This is the only fair way. Rates should not be set based on income. You and I are both fortunate to be earning substantial incomes.

Even if you're getting money you don't really need, so are a lot of people. They use being poor as an excuse to bum money and they don't even show up for class. They flunk out of one school and go to the other. They get excsee funds from the grants/loans and buy drugs.
Your situation is no more offensive than a lot of people.

Don't get to giddy. When this came up they were telling that while this sounds all so great and will get applause, something about the taxpayers which is you will end up picking up the tab if anyone defaults on these loans. It really isn't a good plan in the end.

What exactly are you trying to get across here?
Making student loans easier to repay is what....a bad thing?
Does our government really need a generous interest rate to better it's citizens and thus our economy and thus our country?
Making money from the betterment of our citizens SHOULD be kept in perspective.

I think it's great that you have the Democrat party on your side. It sounds like you are really suffering at the hands of cruel capitalistism!

So what you are saying is that you hate government handouts for other people but you will take them for yourself whenever they are available. There's a word for that...
