My co-worker was born in leap year in the USA and she claims that her parents had to choice the 28th of Feb or the 1st of March instead of the 29th of Feb for her b-day on her birth cert. Because they won't put the 29th on American birth certs.

Is that true?

May be different by states and such. I can see some legal reasons as to why, like turning 18, 21...etc. But, my cousin was born leap day, over 40 yrs ago in Illinois...says so on all her records.

It is on my birth certificate and my drivers license. I find that really odd about your fried. My cousin was born on the same day also and its the same as mine! The date is on everything!
