first outer inner last = foil

3x x 3x=9x^2
3x x -5= -15x
-4 x 3x= -12x
-4 x -5= 20

9x^2-15x-12x+20

9x^2-27x+20

ok, well what you do is multiply 3x and 3x together which is 9x^2
then multiply 3x and -5 which is -15x
then -4 times 3x which is -12x
and then -4 times -5 = 20
so you add them all up, so it looks like this ..
9x^2 - 15x - 12x + 20
that would be ..
9x^2 - 27x + 20

O = 3x * (-5) = -15x
I = (-4) * 3x = -12x
L = (-4) * (-5) = 20

Answer: 6x^2 - 27x + 20
