David Ortiz will have the most home runs in the Major Leagues with 58 homeruns.

Albert Pujols will be second with 51.

Ryan Howard, after a mid season injury, due to the fact that he will be swinging for the fences the entire season and will screw up his shoulder, will only hit around 39 or 40, but still a very commendable season

Shot in the dark here... I think Howard will drop to around 45-48, mainly because he is getting ALL the attention in that lineup, not like 45-48 would be a bad year or anything. I think Ortiz is a freak and will come through with mid fifties again. With Manny protecting him, and now Drew (if he stays healthy), he should continue to bethe most feared clutch hitter around, I'll officially say 55 homers. Man, i love noth these guys.
i am a Twins fan and still cringe to think that we got rid of Papi to give the DH spot to Fat Matt LeCroy!

Howard is going to get better year by year for the next 6 to 7 years.... ill go 63-65.. lotta weak pitching in the NL East, cept for the Brave bullpen and a couple marlins... Ortiz has reached his prime, but he will hit about 45-55

The odds makers have there over/under at 41.5 and 42.5. I think it is a good bet that they both will exceed that mark. Assuming they stay healthy at least 45-50 for for each, and it is quite possible one of them could hit 60. I would pick Ortiz, but Fenway is HARD on lefthanders. If Ortiz played in Philadelphia (and had Manny behind him) he would hit 60+, However having Manny behind him offsets any disadvantage of playing at Fenway.

there is in basic terms some month left in the season, so the two one in all them could could desire to hit one fairly plenty the different recreation, on a similar time as achieveable, this is unlikely. And sure, they the two will pass over 50 and that i'm advantageous there will be some allegations, it is how this is gonna be with absolutely everyone putting up those form of power numbers, yet with Howard, he has 0 stolen bases so which you may think of he could be getting extra velocity to if he became into on something, so possibly there heavily isn't too plenty pronounced for him when you consider that he did enter the league in simple terms as enormous as he's now.

Howard will hit between 50-55. Fat boy Ortiz will run out of gas at about 45. DH's are not real ball players.

count howard to bout 50+ and Ortiz just a few under him, pujols should not be 2 far back, if not ahead of both

Im going to say ..

A LOT

he didnt hit homers until about May. He will have a month or two head start this year.

70 homers

If you look at NL West pitching most of the pitchers are change of speed types. They fall right into his bat. He is strong enough to muscle it out especially in that bandbox ballpark.
