The ball in ball mice will wear down and shrink over time, when it gets too small it can start getting jerky.
It's probably time to get a new mouse, I know most people like the laser mice, but personally I like the marble mice better, they give me much better control of the cursor.

Do you ensue to be utilizing a prompt mouse that has a battery in it? if so, you could pick to attempt replacing the battery, in simple terms to be positive you're utilizing a clean one. If it really is not any longer a battery powered mouse, then perhaps you should modify your mouse settings. in case you would pick to succeed in this, you should pass to the administration Panel and then to the area observed as Mouse or some thing resembling that. From there, you could modify your mouse settings. reliable success and that i wish I helped you!

it could be that your mouse needs to be replaced. The sensor on there might not be working correctly. If you've cleaned the rollers and the ball, there's not much else you can do. It's possible that the ball is not getting proper traction on your desk. Are you using a mousepad?

It might be one of two things. If it is the mouse itself, you might need to replace it (or try another one to see if the problem goes away).
Otherwise it might be your computer lagging out - press CTRL+ALT+DEL and pick 'task manager'. Switch to the 'processes' tab and make a list of everything that is running.
Search for each item in the list to find out if and how you can remove it, and get rid of everything that you don't absolutely need to run windows and do everything you need to do. Stuff will build up in there and make your computer run slower than dog doo doo.
Once you have gotten rid of all of that stuff, go into your control panel and pick 'add remove programs', and get rid of any extra junk programs you have installed. Once this is done, go into 'my computer' right click on your hard drive and pick 'properties' go into 'tools' and you can check your disk for errors, and then run defrag.
If the computer still lags, then you may need to reinstall windows or upgrade some hardware.

Check the mouse sensitivity in your computer's control panel and it may also be time to get a new mouse, most likely an optical one.
