I am trying to find a few pictures of these mushrooms, I am sure I have seen them in Dabid Atteborough's TV series (Planet eart, Episode 8, Jungles) But I do not know the name of the mushrooms, they were a creamy colour with a brown hat... Thanks in advance!

Texasippi Girl - Yeh, that's the mushroom I'm looking for, well very similar, it was in a different colour when I saw it, do you know if any other mushrooms are like that?

Go look at this photo, to see if this is the mushroom you're looking for:

If so, that's the Dictyophora indusiata, which goes by many names, including Veiled Lady, Stinkhorn Mushroom, Veiled Mushroom. It can be found in tropical climates around the world, and is plentiful in China quisine, because it grows in decaying bamboo there.

Edit to answer your question: Hi, Henry--yeah, they grow in different colors...here's a link to a bright yellow one. Cool mushrooms, huh?

Sounds like a fungus from a group commonly known as "Stink-horns".

Basket Stink-horns (Dictyophora indusiata) fit your description well. This is only one species, with other similar species found in different countries
