I have a Sapphire blue, jersey material, just below the knee, handkerchief cut dress that I wear for dates, or to go dancing. Currently, I wear a pear of strappy bronze sandals with them, but the strap has a habit of falling off in the back and it drives me nuts. What kind of shoes should I get to go with the dress?

You can NEVER go wrong with a classy pair of black pointy-toed pumps. This would be a good choice if you were going to a fancier, more upscale venue.
However, if you're going to a club or something, silver really pops with darker shades of blue. Gold is usually a more obvious choice, but silver is making a comeback in the fashion world.
To be honest, you could even go with a red/ruby shoe if you can find one. Or really, any rich jewel tone. Try Zappos.com to peruse styles.

Try something in silver or a bronzy gold. If you find a pair with a slight heel that doesn't have an ankle strap it will make your legs look crazy long and will be more dressy for going out. Or you can put it with sandals to make it look more casual. Wear the dress to the shoe store so you can try different ones on and actually see what they look like with the dress.

I found this shoe on ebay. Either the shoe I found for you or something similar seems like it would go really well with what you have described.

Find a pair of strappy blue sandals with a slight heel. I have a pair of jean material that I bought at Payless. I wear them with almost everything. Good luck and happy shopping!! : )
