Nothing can change the past, and usually until we go out and take actions to rectify the past do we conmtinue to use this info as an excuse ( or valid rationalization, if you prefer ) to continue enslaving ourselves in an improper pattern of self-abuse, often directing this at others who truly don't deserve it. Sometimes we level the abuse at ourselves and it remains a viscious cycle .
i am talking from experience and some of my greatest freedoms is being relieved of this mindset, being freed from the chaos of my thinking, being freed from the delusion of my emotions and knowing that my fredom is contingent on the maintenance of my spiritual condition.
Maintenance of my spiritual condition is a continuing process that, after practicing it for over13 years, has become ingrained in the substnce of me and takes place as though instinctual.
As for laughter, there is a healing power in laughter that can only be experienced, and there are also laughologists--- people who teach laughter as a therapy . Before you become skeptical and refuse to believe it why don't you try it??

No you won't ,and whatever has happened, don't try to forget. It's just another little journey life takes you on, and you've been there, it's imprinted on your soul.
There will be other; journeys you won't ever want to forget, may you have many of them, Athos.
However, do laugh, not a little, a lot, laughter is wonderful.
Best wishes, Cassandra

Absolutely. Laugh or giggle a little all you want but be warned there are grim institutions full of otherwise good people who attempted to forget their past and it worked all too well for them.

You may forget it while laughing, and you will forget it in time if you keep laughing, but you certainly won't forget it if you never laugh.
Or, if you don't agree with that, listen to Nothing Else Matters...he IS the goblin king and therefore he knows all.

I am sorry to say, no. However, the more you let yourself laugh, the better you will feel. Besides, it's best that we never forget our past, but instead learn to come to terms with it.

No... not by laughing.. But if you bang your head hard enough against a wall.. that could cause some memory loss... Maybe enough for you to forget what you are trying to forget!
