Anbody know how to do this for word documents and print outs from the web??

You can change your settings so that absolutely everything prints in Landscape, and if you want portrait you have to override it.
To do this, go to Control Panel -> Printers & Faxes
Right-click on your printer, go into Properties.
Under the General Tab, click on Printing Preferences. Change the layout to Landscape.
Bizarrely there is another place that holds this setting, separately. Hit the Advanced tab, and then the Printing Defaults button, and set it to Landscape there as well.
That should make everything print to Landscape format unless you specify otherwise at the time of printing.

select file then page setup the click on landscape then ok

I think you can do this by changing and saving the default settings on your printer before you start

click on start, then printers, right click on the printer, click on
printing preferences then setup and select landscape
