she has only been gone for 6 mo. and i doubt there is much of a paper trail. my main concern is is she still alive. thank you for any suggestions.

if this person is of the criminal persuasion or may have some sort of affinity to appear before judges, shall we say, then you could always search county courthouse records once you pinpoint what state, etc. she's living in.
