You didn't mention what KIND of offices you worked in, or what capacity you want to work with the public. You may just need to change your venue- in other words, if you've always worked for CPAs, maybe you want to go work with lawyers. People with administrative experience are in hot demand, so use that to find what you really want.

Would you be interested in direct sales. There are so many out there. I worked for a large financial institution for 7 years and after having children I wasn't happy anymore. My Mary Kay consultant talked to me about the Business opportunity and I was not interested at all no way not sales. A year later I had had enough and decided to hear the facts. I started selling it and within a year I quit my job. My only regret is not getting the facts sooner. It is a fun way to make money and I have made so many new friends. I also tell people it is a great way to network because you are meeting so many people. If Mary Kay is not your thing take a look into one that you might like to do.
Good Luck and email me if I can provide any more information.

Go to work as a letter carrier for the USPS.. Start out about 18.00 an hr.. Some make upwards of 80k or more.. with overtime. Get a driving route or become a rural carrier. Walking is great, but over the years it takes it's toll on your feet, hips, shoulders, back..

At the time of high unemployment, informal exchange of skills should take place as much as possible. There are dozens of instances where other people's skills are better than your own - vice versa. It makes you realise the value of your own skills at a time when being unemployed, you need such confidence. I promotes friendship, and keeps you in touch with great many people. Dont under estimate your skills evaluate them instead

Become a waiter. Fewer hours, good pay and work doesn't follow you home unless you want it to.
