If the employer wanted a 9 or 10, and you and the other guy were both 7 or 8, then the employer would want to make sure there isn't a 9 or 10 out there to hire.

A great company will always perform three interviews. You should be receiving another call for your final interview and then the decision would be made within about a week. Good Luck!

It means that they have decided not to pick between you and the other candidate and are looking for someone else...bottom line is it means you are not going to get the job.
