Make her a personal birthday card & state to it how you love her so much.

How about offering to clean her house, cook dinner for her and do some other chore that she find tedious but must do (grocery shopping, weeding the garden, etc.). Celebrating someone's birthday is really not at all about the money/presents. It just that - a celebration of their life. Think of ways you can let your mom know that you are happy she is your mom (and a truly homemade card from your heart). You could also ask your mom if there is something that she really hates to do around the house that you could do for say a month or so. Or you could say - "I don't get paid until next week, how about dinner and a movie then?). Anyway you go, good luck and God Bless.

Firstly make her a home made card, she will love it as it would mean much more than a shop brought one.
Then make her a book of tokens, you just write in that you ie - i owe you a day of tea/coffee making - a treat of breakfast in bed - the hovering done on the day of her choice etc.
i hope you understand what i mean, these are things that can be done without having to spend any money, and don't forget to wish her a happy birthday.

Grab some markers or colored pens, a bit of yarn, some paper, and make her a coupon book of crazy things you'll do that she can redeem, like doing a load of laundry, rake the yard, ect. She'll appreciate the help and the gesture, and if you pick stuff you know she doesn't like to do she'll really enjoy it even more. I did it for my mom like two years ago and she loved it! Creativity is key, but the fact that you don't have to spend money on it and you took the time to do it will make the difference. Have fun!

You don't need to buy something as a demonstration of your love to her. Why not organising a dinner, or a breakfast or a brunch? It could be a picnic.
Try to join something that she likes, a hobby for example. You could spend an afternoon together watching a movie, seeing some pictures, listening to a collection of her favourite singer.
You could give her an opportunity to do what she like, but doesn't have time to. This would be memorable and different.

Give a list of promises, like 'I promise to do that washing up for a week' or ' I promise to vacuum the house every day for a week'. Or make her a home made card like my boys STILL do, (They're 23 and 21) and I really look forward to them cos they're funny. Its a cliche to say its the thought that counts, but it really is true. She'll know you're broke, and she will appreciate you spending time and effort rather that money, surely? I'm a Mum and I do..

Why dont you say tidy the house top to bottom and tell her that on a certain day (perhaps her birthday) - you will make tea for her - making a little effort in the process dressing up and such like - you can perhaps also make a birthday card and write your own verse on it - Mums (I am one) love that sort of thing - the card is the most important thing to me. Good Luck you sound such a caring daughter - please dont get to anxious.

give her a batch of cookies with messages on them and spend time with her these cookies are really nice

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS
In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, peanut butter, milk and vanilla. Mix by hand about 3 minutes or until creamy.
Thoroughly mix flour into creamy mix. Roll small balls of dough in hand, about 1 inch in diameter. Place on greased cookie sheet, approximately 3/4 inch apart. Using a fork, make criss cross pattern on cookie (this will flatten cookie partially). Be careful not to over flatten, dough should not touch each other.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 18 to 25 minutes.

Put together some old pictures in a scrapbook of construction paper. Moms love these kinds of things. Just make it really personal and let her know how much you love her. It will make her day!
