just saw an advert for Jared Leto's band "Thirty Seconds To Mars" are they any good and what sort of music do they play? thanks x

30 Seconds to Mars is an alternative rock band. I'm absolutely in love with them. Most people don't know this but the bands been around for a while, since 1998. Download The Kill, its an awesome song!

I've heard a couple of songs and it sounds like 90's grunge by numbers really. I wouldn't compare it to emo, it sounds a bit more old fangled than that, Saying that, compared to your usual actors going into music, it sounds credible enough to stand up on its own terms, if you like that sort of thing, but there are better bands in both the grunge and the emo scene that Jared's lot.

Its fairly heavy rock/goth influenced and (if you like that sort of thing) its good. But I'm not into the genre, so doesn't do it for me.
