At the end of the day you are ostensibly in the business of selling, marketing and/or distributing motorcyles. Time you spend traveling to China, sourcing products, identifying and surveying suppliers, controling quality, dealing with communications issues, making logistics arrangments, etc. etc. is time and resources diverted from your core competancy of growing your revenue and customer base and serving your customers. Focus on selling - where the money is.
I lived in China for 10 years and speak fluent Mandarin. I have been sourcing products in China, both for my own employer and for clients, for 7 years. Sourcing and import management is a full-time job. This is not your business; let a broker (or "agent" or "sourcing company" or whatever you want to call them) do it for you. Although you will pay slightly more per item you buy, in the long run you will save money. Use a U.S.-based company, not a Hong Kong agent or China Import-Export corporation.
You incur less risk by buying through a U.S.-based sourcing company than by sending your money to a factory in China. And, most legit sourcing companies will extend you credit; e.g. 30% down payment with the balance payable 30 days after shipping. Also, nowadays most sourcing companies offer complete transparency - you know the China factory and FOB price.

To find the right supplier not need a broker.
Try this website www.alibaba.com ,It's famous B2B site in China and many factories and wholesales registered in this site. Even also you can search the suppliers via GOOGLE or YAHOO or www.baidu.com to find the basic connection information. But to be careful, these websites has no responsibility to check whether the information is true or false. After you found the right suppliers, you could assign the suppliers to finish the export affaires. The normal deal procedure is like the following in china:
1.find the right supplier and sign the contract
2.require the supplier to delivery the goods to the port you appointed
3.you will defray 20-30% of payment as deposit
4.after the supplier delivery the goods to carrier such as shipping company, the carrier will issue B/L(bill of loading) documents to supplier
5.the supplier will fax the B/L to you and you can pay the balance and supplier will express the B/L to your office
6.while the goods reach the port , you can load the goods via the B/L
Look, you will not need one broker to do the import affaires.
If it is necessary, you’d better set up one representative office in China to inspect the suppliers or the products. For more details on opening one representative office in China, you can check my latest answer:

First you need to know a factory that you want to import from. Next you need to come in personally to check out their operations. You don't need a broker if you have enough connections in companies that do shipping and handling. A broker is a one-word synonym for "unnecessary expense paying for a local that's probably going to cheat you blind".
