my computer is running really slowly.
i have a fairly fast computer and lots of free space.
i have lots of memory but only a small percentage available.
my question is, if i have lots of free space and lots of memory, and very few programs actually installed, why is it running so slowly.
i can't find anything running in the background.

do the control-alt-delete thing and choose processes...then watch which process is taking up all you resourses...then see if there is anything in that program to adjust it's startup options...or post what you see and I could see if I can help from there!

Congratulations, you join the millions of people with Windows operating systems who have gotten hacked daily! You can try some patchwork fixes with antivirus software, for free at www.majorgeeks.com. However, since antivirus software is at best 99% effective, that means you are still vulnerable to at least 1000 of the 114,000 virii that infect Windows users. Be smart and switch to Open source. One good open source (Linux) product is kubuntu, available for free at www.kubuntu.org

It looks like something is eating up your memory. Check for viruses after updating your signature files and then check for spyware and adware.
