I saw a sailboat named "passing wind", My first boat was named MT Pockets after my initials. I thought it was clever but have seen it many times (like Luna above). Sea Note (a banker no doubt) Seas The Day etc. A boat in my marina is also named Dixie Normous. Say that quick.

There are so many humourous names out there... one thing to keep in mind is that, at some time in the future, you may have to call the coastguard on VHF.. consider what your boat name is going to sound like when the conversation is broadcast to the entire coast...

"xxx Coastguard, this is yacht Silly Bugger, Silly Bugger..."

"Go ahead, Silly Bugger, this is xxx Coastguard..."

The best thing is to come up with a subtle joke... for example, where I grew up, there was a make of yacht called the "Rival", and many of them had names like "Later Rival" or "Safer Rival"...

Other good examples have been "Vitamin Sea", a speedboat called "Shot off a Shivel" and I have many fond memories of "Tall Sheep".

Or a play on somebody's name... a friend's last name is Champion, so his pick was "Championship"

Of course, there's always the perennial, "After You..."
As, in "Darling, I named my boat After You"
