Why do they oppose marriage between consenting children? Why do they force their morality on children and want to define their age of consent? Who are they to say when a child can or can't capably decide when to marry?

Silly conservative, liberals don't have rule books. We don't go by outdated religious texts of questionable authorship and authority and no application to current life. We don't listen to windbags spouting hatred and fear over the AM airwaves and then "know" what to think. Liberals read and think and analyze for themselves, then come to a conclusion.

Try it some time, you'll find it invigorating to think for yourself.

Good luck!

first of all I still have my personal Nixon Now button
I am pretty intensely conservative
and I wish marriage of teenagers was illegal.
In Georgia, if they can prove the girl is pregnant, they can marry without parental consent! How stupid is that? A 13 year old? I'd take my kid out of the state if they tried something like that.

Your brain isn't close to being physically mature at 18.
What makes you think you are ready to handle something so
intense and life altering at a younger age?

There is no rule book for liberals. Liberals are allowed to say anything and do anything and it is perfectly okay. They will get a free pass or worse case, little slap on the wrist.

As far as children marrying, that is something that should wait until the age of 18.

Well I, as a liberal, operate by the Golden rule - do unto others and you would have them do unto you. Do I want to be invaded by other countries, no -- ok well then I won't invade anyone else, etc

As far as children being able to marry, it's not so much liberals forcing their morality on a couple of kids who want to get married as much as the state law to which the couple in question belongs to.

I would have thought that conservatives would appreciate a little morality on the part of liberals.

~Because they are "children!" You shouldn't ask a question, then answer it, it is a waste of points.
As for a rule book for liberals, there isn't one!
Where are you from?~

What matters is social and human values rather than rules!

Because children arent legally able to sign contracts. Marriage is a contract.

I guess I don't get your metaphor.

Are you trying to say that gay people are children who can't think for themselves?
