I agree if this is a genuine act of diplomacy. If this is Bush trying to make it look like he has been diplomatic so he feels justified in some horrific action similar to Iraq down the line, then no it's not

It's too early to tell.

If the US uses it as an opportunity to actually engage in diplomacy then yes.

If the US will simply use it as an opportunity to threaten Iran, then no.

I think it is a step in the right direction. If you want to give diplomacy a chance, it helps to actually, you know, TALK to them.
