Hello everyone.. im 8 weeks pregnant. I am a milk aholic... i love milk.. i drank it everyday before. Well i started getting pregnancy nausea really bad, someone suggested that it may be the milk.. I stopped eating my cereal in the morning and now my nausea is no where near as bad..... I really believe its the milk. How could this be possible, iv never had this problem before... Has this happened to anyone else just while being pregnant? will i be able to drink it again after the baby comes?

I had the same problem when I was pregnant with my daughter. I went from drinking LOTS of milk to getting sick everytime I did. (it would come up cottage cheese 10min later) I thought that after I had her it would go away but it didnt now almost 3 years later I'm pregnant with my second and now I can drink it again in fact I crave it. I dont know how or why but that's what happened to me. Good luck to you I hope you can drink it again sooner than I did

I had exactly the opposite effect: I was lactose intolerant and now I LOVE milk and have a lot of it everyday without any symptoms.
You may want to try soy milk (it's not as gross as you think it is...try the vanilla flavour). Also, sometimes the body develops temporary food aversions that go away after the first trimester or so. You should give it another go when you have no more nausea.
make sure you're getting enough calcium--not just so that you can keep all your teeth ;) but because it reduces the risk of high blood pressure in pregnant women.
Good luck!

When I was pregnant I started getting tummy problems when I ate a lot of cheese or drank a lot of milk. My daughter is 20 months old and I still have the same problem. I was just telling my friend yesterday that I think I somehow got a mild form of being lactose intolerant. I have no idea why this happens though.

I can't have cold milk myself right now. I am 14 weeks and 5 days along. I was never really a fan of milk, but I have craved cereal like crazy lately and just can't tolerate it.
Milk is good for you. It has a lot of calcium, which pregnant women need. I don't know why someone would say that it is not good for you.

try those lactose pills or switch to a soy based milk. I have noticed the same thing but later learned I was lactose intolerant. Is it just when you have milk or is all milk made products also the problem? I'm just checking b/c you still need the dairy part of the diet and may have to supplement.

Many women become lactose intolerant while they are pg. It will go away when you have the baby, and quite possible even before then. You could always switch to soy milk or something like that. I would talk to your dr. They might be able to give you some options.

Milk has very high levels of calcium (duh) and a sudden influx of calcium ions can throw your digestive system off. Since pregnant women have notouriously sensitive stomachs anyway, this could be the source of your problem.

I'm not even pregnant and I always get nauseous if I drink milk on an empty stomach. You might just find that you need to eat something before having the milk.

i'm 36 weeks and began feeling the worst of my soreness about 34-35 weeks. Mine is likewise on the decrease left section as if someone is taking both palms and stretching my pubic bone aside. Any stress on my butt, section, or back sucks. slumbering is about no longer conceivable at this factor. I have fairly some stress on a nerve or tendon it truly is linked to my leg and causing weird and wonderful emotions down my left leg at the same time as I wade through badly from sciatica all up and down my correct leg :( I wager the newborn dropped and is entering into position. My infant is dealing with the left section on the on the spot so perhaps yours is merely too. sturdy luck!
