Math is quite important. You can't avoid it. Almost everything we do involves math. For example cooking, when you bake two dozen of chocolate chip cookies for your kids you need to figure out how much you'll put in. What do we use when we need to know how much money is in our checking account? You've got it, MATH !! Just try to build that extra room without using math. It can't be done.
Math is here to make our lives more pleasant. It answers questions we ask on a daily basis. So try to learn, give it a try. You'll like it...

People, you must understand the whole question. Math is important at first, but later become ridiculous. What will calculus do for most of the population? Using graphic calculaters is not a life needed skill. While math is important, it later becomes, more or less, something I will probably never use as far as calculators go. By the way, what will pythagreums theorum do for me if I don't go into construction or math? Not much comes to mind.

There are very few things in life that don't require some understanding of math. How would you buy groceries if you don't know how much money is left in your checking account? How can you fill up your gas tank if you can't count the money in your wallet? What kind of job can you get that doesn't have some form of math involved?

Math is the basis for many other subjects and future careers. Everyone should have at least a basic understanding of most math concepts.

Math is one of the basic subjects. Without math, you cannot learn a lot of other courses including advanced math, physics, chemistry...Learn it while you can rather than spending a lot of time in college in order to learn the basics.
