everything u do or see can be made either positive or negative but u only recieve negative thoughts, ur the only person that can change this. write down all the positive things in ur life and the negative dont worry if the negative outweighs the positive it usually does then come up with a way to change evry negative thought or feeling into a positive one it can be done i promise! i used to think the same way but now reject negative energy or thoughts and do not be around people who are depressed or down feel down as negative energy can be transfered though people. hope this helps and also smiling always helps. have a good day!!!!

By staying away from the negative , I have been working on the same issue for years and its a battle these days . Because of TV , Radio , News , Newspaper and the list is just endless . Remember bad news sell a lot easier then good news . Stay away from films that show brutality and may be start working on your spirituality by attending Church but not just any of them . Start helping others and that will help feeling better about your self and others . Be grateful for what you have there is always someone worse than you .Choose your friends carefully , work out at the gym as well live a balance life with proper diet and exercises and socialize with people and be part of it , play ball , hockey , basketball and have fun . The trick is, don't JUST focus on the positive. That's BS and you know it. Most people focus mostly on the negatives, so to correct that they make this mistake of denying or ignoring the negative and focusing just on the positive. It doesn't work.
What you need to do is acknowledge BOTH the pos & neg, the advantages % disadvantages, upsides and downsides, benefits and costs, opportunities and limitations, strengths and weaknesses. In other words, the key to being positive is being realistic and balanced in your thinking.
Works for me.

For me, to become more positive had to be learned. I realized I was so negative, and I thought, I have SO MUCH to be thankful for.....I am going to list 5 things that are great right now. 1. I am healthy. 2. My boys are healthy. 3. It's a beautiful day. 4. My sons love me unconditionally! 5. Wow, the birds are sure singing loud today! To me, it was like learning to pray, all over again. Throughout your day, remind yourself to make yourself AWARE of everything good, everything that makes you happy right at that moment, look around the outdoors, smell the fresh air! Consciously try to find only the good in what befalls you today. Don't let yourself think negative. You are aware, you know you want to be better and less negative. You can do it for yourself! Stop, think and be thankful! It works!

Well start by being grateful for at least 5 things when you get out of bed every morning. Tell yourself what you what you want and quit talking about the things you don't want, it just brings negativity towards you. Best Wishes=)

You can do this simply by forgetting the negative things that have happened in the past and understand that thost things wont ever repeat themselves because they are gone.

look at everything good that has happened to you and focus on it like snowball fights or going to see your favourite band in concert and then meeting them backstage
