I am a very tall guy, and I recently bought some Tall t shirts and after shrinking they are not the length I want them. If I wash them, then air dry, will they regain the length from purchase?

I dont want the stupid shirt to grow(i'm not an idiot), I want it to regain its original length. Also, a second question.. Will it shrink further or does it only shrink down as far as it goes on that first trip to the dryer?

No, but I've heard if you soak in cold water and liquid fabric softner that the fabric will relax.

No..unfortunately they wont be exactly the same as they were when you bought them. A t-shirt will shrink if its 100%cotton. Make sure to buy shirts that are pre-shrunk or of a cotton blend with other material. If you buy a 100%cotton shirt, wash is as usual but DO NOT dry it. Only air dry so it will keep its shape. Any other are safe to dry and will not shrink. :) (I do this for my husbands shirts) Good luck :)

You could try air drying until they are just still a bit damp. Then iron them dry stretching them as you do. But remember in the future that putting T-shirts in the dryer will almost always shrink them.

No you can't make them grow. Any gain you could get by stretching while wet would be minimal. In the future use cold water wash and hanging air dry ti minimum shrinkage. Look at the tags when buying for future protection in this area.

no you cant my partner is very tall and has to buy shirts that are 2" longer in the arms and length you probably wont be able to mke them longer by air drying them but read the label some say reshape whilst damp just wash them amd then see if you cant pull them back whilst they are still wet and then air dry them.

Wash them again in cold water, then put it on wet and gently stretch it out to where you like it, then let it air dry.
