It's true, everyone seems to jump on the band-wagon. These "fans" are called front-runners. The worst case that I have seen though is the Sacramento Kings. They were horrible until 1999, and all of the sudden everyone became a Kings fan. Before that as an example, whenever the Lakers played at Arco, there were many people cheering for the Lakers rather than their home team, every time. Needless to say, that sure changed in 2000 when during game 4 of the first round, they burned a Lakers jersey during their stupid pre-game show, and 20000 screaming idiots were going ga-ga for the Kings.

Actually i think that if they were stuck with any other team in the first round they woulda played better. GS has had Dallas' number from the beginning of the season. There is something about their style of play that makes the Mavs play dumb ball. Dallas is still one of the best teams in the league, otherwise they wouldnt have the best record in the league. But everyone keeps talkin about how bad that dirk is playing. It looks to me like he is still playing better than the rest of his team. During the season, they played like a team that has good chemistry. But in this series, they act like they dont know anything at all. Their all stuck on STOOPID!!! But that doesnt take anything away from what GS did 2nite. I figured if the warriors won a game it would a really close score because a expect a #1 seed to stay in the game at least. But this was an absolute blowout. the game was over in the 3rd. I give GS major props for this slaughter. Aside from that, this isn't the same GS team from the first half of the season. After the huge trade with Indiana, GS has been on a tear. Not to mention that they had the hardest schedule in the league throughout the 2nd half of the season. And finished with flying colors. They are actually 5 or 6 seed stuck in an 8th seed posistion.

and so gives you the right of exclusivity to the mavs?! WTF.
i am not a MAVS fan. you'd be surprised to know which team i support.
as i watch the NBA, a non-Mavs fan like me appreciate how Dallas and Dirk are playing amazing basketball better than anyone else including Nash and the Suns.
no, i'm not into the bandwagon. and to further add, if the mavs do not have the vision of the future, they'll be back to being a mediocre team. the best things that happened to the mavs are Dirk, Cuban and Avery Johnson.
enjoy that now while you have the opportunity for tomorrow it may not last.

I haven't been with the Mavs as long as you have, but I have followed them since Jason Kidd and Jamal Mashburn were on the team. I have been a fan of teams from the dfw metroplex since I was born I have spent most of my life being disappointed as you know. I love the Cowboys and I love the Rangers. I will never give up or join a band wagon. I am finally getting a great deal of satisfaction from the Mavs and its worth it to wait as long as I do. I cant wait for the Cowboys to come around. (soon I predict)

It's simple it's called front running. These so called Mavericks fans are front runners. As soon as Dallas isn't as good as they are they will jump onto another bandwagon. Bunch of band wagoners and front runners.

Mark Cuban has energized the franchise and people are cheering for them now. I root for them in most games because I am a Carolina guy and like Jerry Stackhouse. However, bandwagon fans always emerge.
